Introduced in 2012, our PRIDE days give students the opportunity, to meet once a month in their “PRIDE” (or “family” as they like to refer to it) which is named for a saint. The PRIDE days are guided by Student Leaders and made up of mixed K-8th grade students of every level. During the time they talk, get to know each other and move towards a goal for the year while instilling the R.E.A.L. values into their lives. The theme of this year’s PRIDE groups is to “Build Community! Put Two Feet of Love in Action”. Students will learn what community looks like, understand issues that can face a community such as poverty or illness, and how they can be instruments of change. All of those lessons will reflect our R.E.AL. student learning expectations: Responsible Christian Leader, Effective Communicator, An Independent Thinker and Life-Long Learner.
Keep checking back to check out some of this years’ PRIDE days and the work from our teams that will be posted here!
