BRIEF SUMMARY OF COVID-19 MITIGATION STRATEGIES
Before Leaving Home: All students should adhere to the daily health screening protocol for COVID-19 symptoms prior to leaving for school, which include the following:
- Not feeling ill
- Not having a temperature of 100.4 degrees or higher, and/or
- Not being exposed to someone who has the COVID-19 virus
Students with any of the above symptoms should stay home and contact the school nurse.
Face Coverings/Masks: Masks will be optional while on campus. Students that wish to wear masks will be allowed to do so throughout the campus and throughout the day.
PPE and Hygiene: PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) will continue to be available to students and staff who request them. Hand sanitizer stations will continue to be available in all classes along with hand washing stations.
Air Quality: We have replaced all of our air conditioning filters throughout the summer and will continue to do so on a regular basis to maintain air quality and purification in each indoor area.
Quarantine: We will continue to follow CDC quarantine guidelines when students and/or faculty/staff are exposed to COVID-19 as is outlined in the link below:
Sanitization and Cleaning: We will continue disinfecting high-touch surfaces throughout the day and supporting teachers and staff with the sanitization supplies needed.
As this pandemic remains a developing situation, we will work with individual families and their medical providers regarding specific health requirements for students who may be immuno-compromised.
