What is Faith IN Action?
Love for others starts at home with parents as the primary educators of their children’s faith formation
Who better to share and mentor than family first? As parents, being disciples of Christ and developing our own ‘home church’ helps to develop children who want to go out and better their community. By expressing love and mentorship from home, we are then a good example for our children and our neighbors. Our Faith in Action program involves all our students in regular service projects that provide valuable support to our community. Faith in Action is student driven and assisted by Saint John XXIII teachers, staff and volunteer parents. It is also our school’s way of living out Catholic Social Teaching which is the Church’s collection of doctrines in human dignity, social justice and the common good. Below you will find all of our Faith IN Action projects for the 2026-2027 school year!
Faith IN Action
August 10th – August 14th: 2nd Grade hosts NEW School Supply Drive to support a local Diocesan school. (Items can be brought into the front office prior to August 10th)
September 21st – 25th : 3rd Grade hosts a Toiletry Drive for our friends at Andre House
October is Right to Life Month: Buck-A-Something fun – $1-$5 donation to a local organization with need in exchange for a fun accessory day on campus
November 16th – November 25th: 5th Grade hosted Thanksgiving Food Drive and Frozen Turkey Tuesday. Goal is 250 Frozen turkeys to be brought in on Tuesday November 24th!
December 4th– Friday the campus becomes a Pinterest inspired wonderland as 6th Grade hosts a Christmas marketplace to support Catholic Charities and it’s many services.
December 7th – 11th: Student Leadership hosts a Toy Drive to support students at a local Diocesan school or Parish in need.
January- 8th grade hosts a Buck-A-Something fun – $5 donation that supports our 8th Grade Mission trip and Retreat
February 1st through 5th– Catholic Schools Week service project TBA
February 22nd-26th PK Stuffed Animal Drive for First responders
March 15th -19th– Lenten Service project Sock Drive hosted by 4th grade and 8th Grade Mission Trip
May 17th– May 21st : Gently used school supply, backpack and lunchbox collection. All items will be donated to summer programs throughout the valley.
*Kinders make placemats for each holiday for the guests of Pueblo Norte Assisted living facility
*First Grade focuses on Good Deeds and prayers for those in need
